Nothing takes God by surprise. He knows your present situation, He knows the future and can therefore guide you through today’s challenges and show you the way to experience His presence and will bring you the answers that will bring peace and joy into your life. The secret is to listen to Him, take His hand and let Him show you the way. (W. T. Purkiser, adapted)
The Word of God
The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the dark valley of death,I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23, NLT)
Today’s reading: Isaiah 17-20
Really Busy: Isaiah 17, 19
One of the worst feelings we can have is that moment when we feel all alone, isolated and by ourselves. To sense that nobody cares what we are experiencing or to find ourselves without some place to turn to share our feelings, thoughts and struggles can create a sense of hopelessness and isolation that goes deep into our spirits. Most of us have been to this place!
Today we are reminded that Jesus is always there to offer us His hand and to offer us comfort and help in those times of loneliness and despair. Sometime today take a moment and re-read Psalm 23 and let the Holy Spirit remind you of His desire to lead you and me to a place of peace and comfort. In reality we are never alone and He understands our situation. We will find this place in the knowledge that God is in control and has a special plan for our life.
God’s richest blessings on your journey and Be There!
