AUCTION NEWS EXPENDITURES HEALTH AND WELLNESS

PTF- does it mean Plan the Funds, Put to Fundraising, Play the Flute, Pretty Terrific Feet or just Parent Teacher Fellowship? I could come up with more than a few acronyms, but I think it really means the coming together of parents who give of their time, money, talents and plain old hard work to benefit our beloved school, Grace Lutheran. Our board consists of a President, Vice President, Special Events Coordinator, Finance Controller, Secretary and a Pre-School Liaison. Together, we plan, organize and employ many fundraisers throughout the school year, generating monies that go toward the improvement of our school and the benefit of our students.

In recent years, we have made significant improvements in our classrooms and around our campus. Together with the hard work, generosity and never failing drive of our supportive parents and our PTF members, we get things done. Without state sponsored funds, it is vital that our fundraisers and efforts make a difference.  From Innisbrook Wrapping Paper Sales to Box Tops for Education, our PTF Board and the parents who donate their time chairing these events are always hard at work for the benefit of your children, my children and our remarkable school.

Aside from fundraising, we sponsor some pretty fun stuff too! During Red Ribbon Week, we talk about the dangers of drugs and the power to “just say no”.  Our children go to one of the best accredited schools around and this is no time to spare the complements; Teacher Appreciation Week is another fun event and a chance for us to let our teachers know just how much we love them. We host the Ident- A- Kid program, giving you the opportunity to have an updated ID card for your child every year. The Heritage Festival and Family Campout is a must and if you have never attended, this is your year! Don’t miss the fun and fellowship!

This year our PTF Board and the many parent volunteers are moving full steam ahead. We continue to work hard to achieve our goals for this year, and secure an even more productive next year. The possibilities are endless when we come together for the glory of God.

PTF- Maybe it means Praise the Father. Praise Him for our school. Praise Him for our children. Praise Him for our opportunities. And hopefully, sometimes… just praise Him for who He is!
